Mike Pitts Bio
Mike Pitts is one of the World's leading underwater cameramen, however, he is equally happy shooting on the surface or from the air. Mike has been awarded Emmys for photography on two BBC landmark series: David Attenborough's Private Life of Plants and the Blue Planet.
The Invincible film diaries are produced from footage taken over a period of seven years while Mike worked documenting the historically important shipwreck site of HMS Invincible. This series of short films are an astonishing insight into the field of maritime archaeology with breath taking shots that make you feel you are virtually underwater.
In addition, Mike has taken many underwater archaeological photographs that have been used in various publications. A selection of these can be viewed in his Portfolio, via the link below.
